On March 20, 2025, a positive game-changing experience takes place in East Metro Atlanta, specifically in Stonecrest, GA on Panola Road. After a gradually building anticipation, Harold's Chicken & Ice Bar (Panola) opens its doors in providing a cool and classy experience for those in attendance along with future patrons.
On a beautiful late winter/early spring twilight evening, with a blending of local and state government officials, special guests, and people from literally all over the metro area, Owner/CEO/Visionary Tarryn Rutherford (also known as the SheEO), sets the tone in providing a welcoming and professional setting. Augmented by her leadership team and staff, attendees come away with positive takeaways from the setting, food, and overall atmosphere.
Stonecrest Mayor Jazzmin Cobble, Super District 7 (DeKalb County) Commissioner LaDena Bolton, and State Senator (District 55) Randall Mangham are among those who speak with the audience in addition to CEO Rutherford. A special talk with Mona Stephens, whose designs adorn the venue and add to the ambiance, are well received.
With a solid blend of appetizers, entrees, and dessert (I enjoyed the perch and chicken with fries), there's a sound and inviting level of plates for a number of appetites (including fish and other food). Combined with multiple themed events ranging from live music to their Saturday and Sunday Brunch (yes, we returned for brunch and have the Peach Cobbler French Toast), adding a venue of this caliber is a win-win for the business, city, county, and greater community.
It is highly recommended patrons utilize the valet service along with contacting them for all dining options.
