It's baseball in Birmingham, AL.
And when it comes to HBCU Baseball (Historically Black Colleges and Universities), the Diamond Classic provides an opportunity to showcase the game and tradition synonymous with the game and more.
On Tuesday, April 8th (the first pitch is at 6pm CST), Regions Field (the home of the Birmingham Barons, the AA affiliate of the Chicago White Sox) is home to this year's game. Miles College (the away team) takes on Alabama A&M in a single-game matchup. The game is presented by BCSG360, who has a track record of hosting baseball and related sports events and more featuring such schools and programs.

Prior to the game, there's a fan-festival at the ballpark. With a full complement of HBCU college admissions representatives, job vendors, and even veteran players from the Negro Leagues (as the AA baseball team's name is an ode to the Birmingham Black Barons of the Negro Southern League), there are community engagement opportunities taking place to add to the game-day experience.
Tickets are available in advance for adults ($20, then increasing to $25 the day of the game) and youth ($5 the day of the game as 3,000 tickets for youth are donated). As an added bonus, the Sneaker-Ball Fundraiser taking place in the Ballroom/Club Lounge is a separate ticket (but a combo $45 premium ticket includes entry for the game and ball). For ticket purchases, you may visit Event Noire (click HERE); likewise, you may contact BCSG360 via email (info@bcsg360.org) or call 205-936-9708.

A pre-game, in-game, and post-game experience makes this a special affair, and given the tradition of the game, the teams, and the city, this Tuesday, it's an opportunity to "ball" in Birmingham.
