A drive to thrive: the Iconic Iota Zeta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc's blood drive helps support key efforts in health and wellness
Coming off their Founders' Week celebration culminated by their centerpiece event, the Sigma Lounge (click HERE to learn more), you would think the "Iconic" Iota Zeta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. would take a moment to rest on their laurels and then some.
However, they are doing quite the opposite, and in doing so, making a drive to help others thrive.
On Saturday, April 12th (9am-2pm EST), the chapter is hosting a blood drive. Taking place at the DeKalb Agricultural Technology & Environmental Charter School, Inc (located at 1492 Kelton Drive in Stone Mountain, GA), it's an opportunity for the community to give back through giving blood.
Aligned to support the efforts of the Red Cross, patrons are encouraged to make an appointment by visiting the Red Cross website (click HERE) or visiting their app and using the sponsor code of IZSSGR (along with using the QR code per the flyer).

For those who are donating blood, it is highly recommended to eat foods rich in iron, drink plenty of water (to stay hydrated), and of course, get ample rest.
Likewise, donors need to bring photo ID the day of the drive, and as a thank-you, each participant receives a $15 Amazon gift-card.
Since the sorority's inception on November 12, 1922 on the campus of Butler University (in Indianapolis, IN) and the chapter's charter date of March 24, 2001, operating under the motto of Greater Service, Greater Progress is integral in their national and local community-centered initiatives and programs. As mid-April approaches, it's an opportunity to expand on community engagement and help those in need, especially as it relates to blood donations and beyond.
It's clearly a drive to help others thrive.
